Assembly Commission Audit Committee Annual Report
1.1 The Assembly Commission Audit Committee Annual Report for the year ending 31 March 2012 is presented to the Commission to note, in accordance with the Committee’s Terms of Reference. These charge the Committee with providing “the Commission and Accounting Officer with an Annual Report, timed to support finalisation of the accounts and the Governance Statement, summarising its conclusions from the work it has done during the year.”
1.2 The role of the Committee is to provide advice, challenge and support to the Chief Executive and Clerk of the Assembly in respect of her responsibilities as Accounting Officer, as well as providing assurance to the Commission. From the work undertaken and assurances provided throughout the year, the Audit Committee believes that overall assurance levels within the Commission are good, as recorded in the report.
2.1 Commissioners are invited to note the annual report.
